Simon Says Stamp Stamptember

Today I am so happy to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember blog party! This is the kick off to a month-long stamping party at Simon Says Stamp. They have exclusive collaborations with some of the industry's favorite stamp companies, as well as, a special release of their own! This is one of my favorite times of year. Pumpkin spice everything AND Stamptember! To help us celebrate even more, Simon Says Stamp has given me an exclusive coupon to share with you that will allow you to receive something special from them! I just love free goodies! Here's the link that will take you directly to the new release: https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/category/Shop-Simon-Releases-STAMPtember.

The card that I have to share with you is one that I created using the new Plank Background Stamp. I love background stamps because they are so versatile. They can be used to accent a focal panel on a project, be the main focus, or, as I used it here, to provide some fun design and texture to an element.

I heat embossed the stamp on a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder then used Distress Oxide Inks to color it to look like grass. I used the largest die from Lawn Fawn's Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die Set to cut it down to size and then the  Grassy Border Die to add fun texture to the top. I used the Mini Cloud Stencil from My Favorite Things and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create my cloudy sky.

The cute critters are from the Simon Says Stamp Stacking Animals Stamp and Die Sets. These images are so much fun to color and I did so using Copic Markers. I heat embossed a sentiment from the same set onto a piece of Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock using Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. I die cut the "friend" using the Simon Says Stamp Painted Friend Wafer Die.

Thank you again for visiting! I hope that you enjoy hopping along with everyone today and that Stamptember inspires you to be even more creative! Be sure to visit the party on the Simon Says Stamp blog (https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com) for more inspiration! There are different coupons available on other blogs, so get going! Have a great day!
