Stamptember with Lawn Fawn: Nutty Or Nice

Hello again! I want to thank everyone who has been visiting my blog and leaving such sweet comments! It truly means the world to me!

Today, I am sharing two super cute cards that I created using the exclusive collaboration stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Nutty or Nice?. This set is only available from Simon Says Stamp for a limited time. Lawn Fawn's Stamptember sets are notorious for selling out quickly, so be sure to hurry over to Simon Says Stamp to pick yours up. It is full of adorable little squirrels, scene building images, and fun, quirky sentiments perfect for the cooler weather that is quickly approaching. Here are the links for this set on the Simon Say stamp website: Nutty Or Nice? Stamp Set and the Nutty Or Nice? Stamp and Die Set Combo

As you can probably tell from the "Pull Here" tabs, I made a double slider card using the new Double Slider Surprise Die Set from Lawn Fawn. This die set is so much fun that I can't seem to quit making cards with it. (This means that you can expect to see more of these from me in the future. 😉)

When you pull the tabs out, it reveals a continuation of the scene from the front of the card. I also added in a few images from the following stamp and die sets by Lawn Fawn: Christmas Dreams, Cheery Christmas, and Pick of the Patch. The Nutty Or Nice? stamp set's squirrels are sized and illustrated to go perfectly with previously released sets with squirrels. This makes me so happy!!!

I used the Stitched Hillside Borders, Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape, and the Picket Fence Border Die Sets to create the scene building elements. To give the illusion of snow falling, I heat embossed the large falling snow image from the Snow Cool stamp set onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock and added Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink with a blending sponge. Check out the snow banks! I used the oh-so-beautiful Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. I absolutely love this new cardstock! It die cuts like nobody's business and doesn't shed!

For the second card, I added in some cute little bunnies from the Some Bunny and Hoppy Easter stamp sets. (These bunnies are so precious and some of my favorite cute critters from Lawn Fawn!)

I thought that it would be fun to have bunnies involved in building a snowman since they love carrots so much. I also added in the cute squirrels from the Nutty or Nice? stamp set. I die cut the tree branches from the same set using the light brown cardstock from Lawn Fawn's new Woodgrain Cardstock Neutrals pack. I sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to add the illusion of depth and to highlight the texture of the cardstock. I love that you can use these branches by stamping and die cutting them or by simply die cutting them from cardstock for a totally different look! I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape die set to create the snow banks. I love how it creates a foreground and frame for scenes in one pass of the die cutting machine! I sponged on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to add some color to the snow.

I hope that my cards have inspired you! Remember that the Nutty or Nice? stamp and die sets are an exclusive collaboration with Simon Says Stamp to celebrate their Stamptember event and only available for a limited time. Once they're gone, they're gone, so grab them quickly! Be sure to check out Lawn Fawn's blog for more inspiration from the design team and thank you for stopping by today!

  1. Megan, these cards are adorable! I just finally received the Nutty or Nice stamps and dies and hope to make a slider card as nice as yours!

  2. Aww! I was thinking about using these little bunnies with the stamptember set. Then my mind got to thinking the bunnies will be freezing there buts off. ;)
