Mama Elephant Christmas Card
Hello! If you are like me, you are trying to get started on your holiday cards. Things are getting ready to get super hectic and in order to get ahead, I have started making cards to send out to family and friends.
Today, I have a Christmas card to share with you today using some amazing Mama Elephant products. It is a fun interactive card that just keeps delivering on the surprises! I used the adorable Santa's Sleigh, Me and My Yeti, Animal Parade, and Tea with Friends stamps and die sets to create a wintery, Christmas Eve night scene.
For the background, I used the Mama Elephant Galactic Cover Die and the On The Hills Die Set. I die cut a circle to create a mask for the moonlight ring around the moon then blended Distress Inks on Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I die cut a slightly smaller circle than the mask from Bristol Smooth Cardstock as well and painted a moon using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor paint. I love the shimmery softness!
To make the card interactive, I used the Sunny Studios Sliding Window die. When you pull the tab at the top of the card, the front panel slides back, revealing another adorable addition to the scene.
I attached my images using foam tape and liquid glue. I used a strip of acetate to gift the illusion that the reindeer is flying and the effect is so neat! I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard and Gloss White to add details to some of the images. The Gloss White is perfect for reinforcing the snow falling.
I also decorated the inside of the card with more images that coordinate with the scene on the front. Thank you so much for stopping by! I will have another Christmas card to share this Saturday, November 3rd for my monthly blog contribution for Lawn Fawn. Be sure to stop back by then!
I love this card. I love the sliding window (I didn't expect that!) and I just love how you finished the card on the inside. So many people only focus on the outside of the card so it is really nice when someone makes the inside of the card to be just as special as the outside. *LOVE*
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Julie! I like to continue the scene to the inside whenever possible for that very reason. I’m so happy that you like it and appreciate your comment!
DeleteThis is so AMAZING Megan! I love it so much! Beautiful work and yes, finishing the inside is a work of love! There aren't enough words to describe this card!!! It is over the top fabulous! <3
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to get this stamp for SOOO long! I adore that little puppy on the back - he looks SO happy! And the reindeer is just adorable, too. Love the card and the colors!
