Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week Day 4: Tiny Gift Box Chick and Duck Add-On

Hello again! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues on today with a look at the Tiny Gift Box Chick and Duck Add-On. I absolutely adore the add-on sets that Lawn Fawn continues to come out with for the Tiny Gift Box! I mean, come on! How could you not just squeal with delight as seeing the cute little critters and their sweet faces?!

For my card today, I wanted to make a basket full of baby chicks. To create the basket, I die cut two pieces of Lawn Fawn Kraft Cardstock from the Stripey Backdrop Die. I laid one right side up and flipped the second one over to the backside and layered them to create a basket weave pattern. I then took the largest of the stitched circles from the Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables and die cut the layered pieces to form the bottom of the basket. I sponged on some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink on to create more depth. I then layered a piece of Ground Coffee Cardstock that I also die cut using the same stitched circle die as before behind the basket to finish it off.

To create the handle for the basket, I used the largest stitched ovals from the Large Stitched Oval Stackables and the Small Stitched Oval Stackables, layered them, and also die cut them from Kraft Cardstock.

I die cut the chicks from Sunflower, Ballet Slippers, Fake Tan, and Black Licorice cardstock. I ink the edges of the chicken with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink to give them a rounded appearance.

Thank you for stopping by today and please be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog and leave a comment there for a chance to win an awesome prize. Have a great day!

    1. The sky background was die cut from Mermaid cardstock and I used a small sponge dauber with Lawn Fawn’s Yeti Ink to highlight the cloud shapes. Thank you so much!
