Lawn Fawn May Inspiration Week: Cake Slice Box

As a fun, surprise addition to this Inspiration Week, Lawn Fawn has added in a bonus day to show off even more wonderful products from the Summer Release. As usual, Lawn Fawn has created pure magic for us to work with. The Cake Slice Box Die Set is no exception.

My favorite type of cake is carrot cake. I mean come on! It's practically healthy! It's got protein from eggs, dairy from milk, and carrots to round off an almost balanced taste of heaven... Haha! In line with my favorite, I wanted to design my cake slice to be carrot cake. Yummy!

I die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn's Paper Bag Cardstock using the rectangular die with the sections in the middle. I then used Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Carved Pumpkin, and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks to splatter the paper. To add an even lighter shade to the mix, I watered down a little Lawn Fawn Yeti Ink and splattered that on top. Vwahlah! Carrot Cake!

I then die cut the frosted portions of the cake from Lawn Fawn's Vanilla Malt Cardstock and using my Copic Markers, I gave the edges a little color to make the cake look even more realistic. I then die cut a carrot from Lawn Fawn Cilantro and Fake Tan Cardstock using the carrot die from the Stitched Garden Border Die Set and sponged the edges using Lucky Clover and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink.

The best part about the new Cake Slice Box Die is that it forms the cutest little box that you can put some sweet little treats in. I don't know about any of you, but one of the hardest parts of constructing a box is making the lid slide on. The dies cut the paper perfectly for the top and bottom parts of the slice and the top slips on so easily! The guess work has been taken out of the process for you. Thank you Lawn Fawn!

I truly appreciate all of you and your sweet comments! This is the last day for this round of Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week. We will be back next month with another Inspiration Week featuring the Summer Release. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!
