Lawn Fawn - First Saturday with Megan

Hello friends! I always love my day to be on the Lawn Fawn Blog! It means that I get to share with you another fun card using some of my favorite products and I am so excited to share this one with you today. If you have followed me for any time at all then you know how much I love to may interactive and scene cards. Today is a combination of both.

My inspiration for today's card is the arrival of Fall. I love all things Fall! The crispness to the air, the way the light changes this time of year, the cozy and comfy clothes, and the return of my fave Pumpkin Spice creamer! YAS! Add in the adorable Lawn Fawn mice and you have a match made in heaven.

To start my card today, I stamped images from the Thanks a Bushel, Open Me, Dandy Day, Love Poems, Crazy Antics, So Owlsome, and Jump for Joy Stamp Sets on white cardtock using Copic friendly ink. I then colored the images in using Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies from each set to cut out may images.

I then die cut a panel from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the largest die from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die Set. I then ink blended the panel using Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink towards the top and splattered the top of the panel with diluted Peacock Feathers and Copic White for added texture.

To create the grass at the bottom, I ink blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks towards the bottom and splattered diluted Lucky Clover over that section. I also die cut a short strip of the Bristol Smooth Cardstock and die cut it using the Grassy Border Die to layer at the bottom of the front panel to give the illusion of depth. I blended that panel in the same way as the bottom of the front panel to give it a consistent look.

To make the card interactive, I used the Let's Toast Pull Tab Add-On Die Set. I inked the pull tab to match the sky from the scene and adhered the precious mouse sign saying "apples" onto it. When the tab is in the starting position, you cannot see the little mouse, but when you pull the tab up, the little mouse and his sign pops into view. This is guaranteed to make your recipient smile!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! For a complete list of products that used to create this card, please visit the Lawn Fawn Blog. Have a great day!
