Reverse Confetti - Countdown to Confetti Day 2
Welcome back! Today is day two of the Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti. I have two more projects to share with you today featuring new products from the September Release.
I absolutely love Fall and these new products are giving me all of the feels for this season! For my first card, I used the new In All Things Stamp and Confetti Cuts Sets. I began by stamping my images using a comic friendly ink onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb. Cardstock. I then colored them using Copic Markers. After coloring the images, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
For my background panel, I cut a square of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using my paper trimmer and began by inking it with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. To add more color and to draw the eye into the beautiful wreath, I then blended Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink around the edges. To add some shimmery highlights, I watered down some gold metallic watercolor paint and flicked it across the panel before adhering my images using liquid glue.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the "give thanks" onto a strip of vellum using gold embossing powder. I cut the strip longer than the front panel so that I could wrap the edges around the the back. I then layered the front panel onto a piece of shiny gold cardstock and a larger teal square to mat the front panel and really finish off the design.
My second card features the new Lanterns and Lantern Additions Stamps and Confetti Cuts. Again, I stamped the images using Copic friendly ink onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb. Cardstock before coloring them using Copic Markers. I then die cut the images using the coordinating dies.
I then die cut a panel of dark brown cardstock using the new Center Frame Cover Panel Confetti Cuts. I heat embossed the sentiment from the new Lantern Additions Stamp Set towards the top of the center panel. I then matted that on top of a piece of dark orange cardstock that I flicked with gold watercolor paint and diluted Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to add a fun texture to the background.
I then die cut a piece of vellum using the largest circle from the new Circle Rays Duo Confetti Cuts Set. I used a little Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks on the backside to give the effect of a warm glow coming from the candle. I adhered my images onto the card front using a combination of foam tape and glue dots.
Below is a list of the designers joining in the fun:
