Reverse Confetti - Stock Your Stash

Hello friends! I am back with you today for a fun card making challenge from Reverse Confetti! This month's theme is Halloween/Fall Fun. This a wonderful way to stretch your creative muscles and enter for a chance to win a prize as well!

For my card, I chose the Halloween theme. My sweet friend, Davina Cantrell told me that the background of my previous card made with the Spooktacular Stamp Set looked like eyes. That gave me the idea for this card. I thought that it would be fun to make a monster peering out from the Big Polkas Cover Panel.

I began by die cutting the Big Polkas Cover Panel from violet cardstock and inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. I layered that over a piece of green cardstock that I had inked up and flicked with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink. To create the hair for the monster, I die cut a strip of the same green cardstock using the largest die from the Holiday Bough Creative Cuts. (I love how it gave my monster a fuzzy haired look!) I also inked around the edges and flicked that piece as well. For the eyes peering out, I used two different sized circle punches and layered the pieces together.

For the scene at the bottom of the card, I stamped images from the Spooktacular and Pick of the Patch Stamp Sets using a Copic friendly ink on Neenah Solar White 80 lb smooth cardstock. I then colored them using Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To finish off my design, I stamped the "BOO" sentiment from the Spooktacular Stamp Set on a black banner using white embossing powder. I really love how the white pops off of the black.

Thank you for visiting with me today! I hope that you found inspiration here and that you will join in the fun of this challenge! Have a great day and I will be back soon with more to share!
