Welcome to the February 2022 Stampede with Mama Elephant! I am so happy that you have stopped by to visit today! There are so many amazing new products in this release and I am so excited to share it with you.

All of the new products are available now in the Mama Elephant Shop. Be sure to hop along with us to celebrate. At the end of this post there is a blog hop list, with links, to take you to each stop. There are prizes to be won, so hop with us, and comment along the way!

My project for today features the new Word Cover - HBTY CC. I love the font of this die and how it covers an A2 sized card front, but the possibilities don't stop there. You can also take the die cut letters and use them on other card sizes to create more birthday themed designs.

I have adored Aida Zamora's illustrations since the first time I laid eyes on her precious images so I decided to bring out a much loved stamp set from my stash for this card, Flying With Friends. Just look at the sweet faces on the elephants and mice. (My favorite has to be the cheeky little mouse floating off on his own. Heehee!)

To begin, I stamped the images out on 80 lb Neenah Smooth Cardstock using an alcohol friendly ink. I then colored them using Copic markers and cut them out with the matching creative cuts.

For the background, I used an A2 sized piece of the same cardstock and ink blended it with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans Distress Inks for the sky. To add a bit more interest, I flicked the background with a bit of the Salty Ocean ink.

Next, I created a grassy border to ground the scene. I wanted to cover up the last line of die cut text from Word Cover - HBTY CC so it simply read "happy birthday", so I cut a second piece of white cardstock using the large stitched rectangle from Peek A Frame CC and the straight die from Grassy Trio CC to fit. I then ink blended that piece with some soft green die inks.

I adhered the images to the card front using liquid glue. I then added some Glossy Accents and clear sequins to finish off the design.

Thank you for making a visit to my blog a part of your day! I appreciate your time and hope that you enjoyed yourself. Be sure to hop along with the rest of the design team to see more projects featuring the latest release from Mama Elephant. I have listed and linked the Mama Elephant products that I used below for your convenience. Have a wonderful day and I will be back soon with another project to share!
