I am delighted that you came to visit and join in on the fun blog hop to celebrate Mama Elephant's April 2022 Release. There are lots of amazing new products included in the release and I am so excited to share with you what I have been working on.
I am back today with a project featuring the Build A Cactus CC. It is only one of the new products available now for purchase in the Mama Elephant Shop. Please be sure to follow the blog hop list below and leave comments along the way to be entered for a chance to win prizes!
I love using die cuts to create something a bit unexpected. I also love to combine older products with new ones for something totally different. Well, I've done both of those things with today's project.
I started by die cutting the background panel using the largest die from the B2B Slimline CC die from aqua cardstock. I then ink blended the edges and flicked on some ink splatters to give it texture.
Next, I die cut the shapes to make my little cactus person from colored cardstock. I then used Distress Oxide Inks to add shading and depth to the the die cuts. Once, the ink was dry, I stamped a greeting from So Appreciated onto the terra-cotta pot.
I used a mix of liquid glue, foam squares, and glue dots to adhere everything down. To complete the sentiment, I used Comic Sayings and the Friend Script CC.
I adore the sweet expression on the little cactus's face! I don't believe I've ever seen one quite so happy! Heehee! I hope that this cutie has brightened your day and I can't thank you enough for spending time here!
