Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Gingerbread Friends
Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog today! The Lawn Fawn has some really amazing projects to share with you today using the new Gingerbread Friends Die Set.
When I saw this set, I know that I wanted to create a fun little gingerbread family. (Almost like a photo Christmas card that you send out at the holidays.) I die cut the pieces for the gingerbread people from the new Kraft cardstock from Lawn Fawn and added a baked color to the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I then die cut the accessories from the new White Cardstock from Lawn Fawn and colored them with my Copic Markers.
To make the scene images more cohesive, I stamped images from the Sweet Christmas and Christmas Dreams stamp sets onto some more of the Kraft Cardstock and colored them in using my Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I think this stamping them on Kraft helped to create a more gingerbread feel than stamping the images onto white cardstock and end up with a harsh white outline.
Then, I stamped the sentiment from the new Simply Winter Sentiments stamp set on a piece of Lawn Fawn Vellum and die cut it with the banner die from the Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On Die Set. To frame up the "family photo", I used the largest die from the Stitched Scallop Rectangle Frame Die Set.
I hope that you enjoy all of the samples we have to share with you today! Be sure to hop on over to the Lawn Fawn Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win there. Have a great day!
