Trinity Stamp Guest Design Spot: Sleepy Hollow Double Slider Card
Hello! I am so happy to be guest designing for Trinity Stamps again today! I created a holiday themed interactive card to share with you. There is just something extra special about a card that allows the recipient to be involved.
For today's card, I used the Sleepy Hollow and Gingerbread House Stamp Sets. I cut the images out using the coordinating dies for each set. The main tree image from the Sleepy Hollow Stamp Set has two dies, so you can either use the image with or without the center cut out.
To make my card interactive, I chose to die cut the hole from the center of the tree image. I created a double slider mechanism using the slit die from the Let's Toast Die Set from Lawn Fawn that allows you to pull the toast image up from the toaster. The double slider allows you to use a pull tab to make an image appear or move in the opposite direction.
When you pull the tab located at the bottom marked "Pull"...
...the adorable little fox from the set pops into view. He's slumbering away in his tree trunk home. I added in some festive accessories like the stocking and present from the Gingerbread House Stamp Set to give the scene a more holiday feel.
Since the Sleepy Hollow set does not include a sentiment, I borrowed one from the Mice On Ice Stamp Set from Lawn Fawn. I thought it complimented the homey touches that the fox has used for his home.
Thank you so much for visiting with us today! I hope that you enjoyed my card and that you will try to make your own double slider card. Have a great day!
