Mama Elephant Designer Series: Scene Builder with Sunday Stroll Card

Hi friends! This is Megan Quinn and I am so happy to be back again to share another card with you as a guest designer for Mama Elephant. Someone please pinch me because it has been so unbelievably fun to have this opportunity!

For my card today, I combined the new Scene Builder Stamp Set with an oldie but goodie set. The Sunday Stroll Stamp Set was released a while back and my personal set needed a little love. (I am so glad that I pulled it out because I love how this card turned out!) I also used the Christmas Scene Stamp Set to add some fluffy cloud images to the design.

I like to pack my scene cards full of images and I am loving how much real estate the slim card designs provide. The new Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts include not only the basic rectangular shapes that you need to make this style card, but Mama Elephant included scene building dies, window creating accessory dies, and speech bubbles dies too! It's such a great set!

I started my card by stamping the images from the Scene Builder and the Sunday Stroll Stamp Sets onto Neenah 80 lb Solar White Cardstock using a brown hybrid ink. I then colored the images using Copic Markers. (They are my preferred coloring medium because they blend so well and are so vibrant.) To die cut the images, I used the coordinating creative cuts.

To create the scene building elements, I die cut some green cardstock using the On The Hills Creative Cuts. I then inked them along the bottom edges to add depth. I also ink blended the base panel to make the sky using a cloud stencil.

To finish off the design, I used a sentiment from the Picnic With Friends Stamp Set. The combination script and type font of this sentiment works perfectly with so many other stamp sets.

Thank you for visiting today! I hope that you enjoyed seeing my card and that it inspired you to create something fun! Have a great day!
