Welcome back friends! (Have you seen the new release from Mama Elephant?! It is fabulous!) I am guest designing for Mama Elephant again this month and I am so excited to share with you the cards that I have created! I have two cards today, but please be sure to come back to visit on the Stamp Highlight Days happening in the next week or so.

For my first card today, I used the new Frilly Window Creative Cuts. The stitched scalloped rectangle from this set is so sweet. I immediately wanted to pair it with a couple of my long time favorite sets of mine by Aida Zamora called Tea With Friends and Picnic With Friends. The images in the sets remind me of illustrations from a classic children's book. Just gorgeous!

I began by die cutting a piece of Bristol Cardstock using the stitched rectangle from the Basic Set Creative Cuts. Then, I ink blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Lucky Clover Distress Inks towards the bottom to give the illusion of grass. I also blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks towards the top for the sky. To add texture to the panel, I flicked diluted Mowed Lawn onto the bottom and diluted Salty Ocean at the top.

I stamped the images out using a warm brown hybrid ink on Neenah Solar White 80 lb. Smooth Cardstock and colored them using Copic Markers. To die cut the images, I used the coordinating creative cuts. The adorable faces on these cuties just gets me every time!

For my second card, I used the new Stems and Sprigs Stamp Set along with the new Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts that were released last month. Again, I stamped the images using a warm brown hybrid ink and colored them using Copic Markers.

To build the background, I die cut a piece of speckled white cardstock using the stitched rectangle from the Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts. I used Post It tape to mask the edges and then stamped the panel using one of the images from the Sentimental Borders Stamp Set in a muted brown dye ink. I used that same ink to blend around the sides of the panel before removing the Post It tape. I then matted the front panel using teal cardstock that I cut using a trimmer and a scalloped rectangle die cut from kraft cardstock.

To create the jar of flowers, I used the Jar Shaker Creative Cuts. I arranged the floral images inside the jar and filled it with tiny iridescent bubble embellishments. (I personally think that everything looks so cozier and even more adorable in a mason jar!) I then stamped a greeting from the Stems and Sprigs Stamp Set onto a label that I die cut from some speckled white cardstock. To do this I used a die from the Jar Shaker Creative Cuts. To give it an aged look, I ink blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. I used thin Jute cord to wrap around the top of the jar and tied a bow to finish it off.

I hope that you enjoyed the cards that I share with you today! I have listed the Mama Elephant products that I used to create them below with direct links to the Mama Elephant Shop for your convenience. I will be back with another design to share with you Monday, May 18th. Thank you for stoping by!
