Reverse Confetti - Countdown to Confetti Day 3
Hello again! Today is day 3 of the Countdown to Confetti for Reverse Confetti. I have created another card to share with you featuring new products from the September release.
My card for today is a bit of a break from my norm. I usually stick to cute critters and scene cards, but the floral images in the Holiday Bough set just called to me to be watercolored. (Who am I to argue with such gorgeous images?)
I began by heat embossing the images on watercolor cardstock using gold embossing powder. (This is a great technique for card making and those fairly new to watercoloring because the embossed lines act as wells. They help hold the color in the lines of your images.) I then used my Karin Brushmarker Pro watercolor markers and a damp paintbrush to color the images.
To create a framework for the floral images, I die cut another piece of watercolor cardstock using the new Center Frame Cover Panel Confetti Cut. I then heat embossed one of the sentiments from the new Joyful Holiday Wishes Stamp Set in the center. (I love the mix of print and script fonts in this set!) I used a mix of foam adhesive and glue dots to adhere the florals to the background. I then used a warm yellow brushmarker to add some shading under the images and around the sentiment to make them pop off the panel.
Thank you for stopping by today! Please be sure to visit the other designers' blogs and leave some love along the way. I have also listed and linked the products that I used at the bottom of this post for your convenience. They will be available starting tomorrow!
