Simon Says Stamp Stamptember: Mama Elephant

Hello friends! To all of my Mama Elephant lovers, you are going to love the set that they collaborated with Simon Says Stamp for Stamptember! It is called Winter Fox and has the cutest fox and holiday images! It is available only while supplies last so run on over to Simon Says Stamp and grab yours before they sell out. (The Mama Elephant Stamptember sets always sell out.)

For my card, I combined the new Winter Fox Stamp Set with the previously released Mega Flipper Creative Cuts and the Little Snowman Agenda Stamp Sets from Mama Elephant. The panels of the Mega Flipper are sized perfectly to fit on a standard A2 sized card front and are big enough to allow you to create fun mini scenes on them.

I started out by stamping the images using Copic friendly ink on white cardstock and used Copic Markers to color them. Once I finished the coloring, I cut the images out.

I then die cutting the largest stitched rectangle from the Peek A Frame Creative Cuts Set and five of the scalloped panels included in the Mega Flipper Creative Cuts Set from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I used Post It Tape to mask off the edges at the stitched lines to keep the edges of the panels white. I then used various hills stencils from Lawn Fawn to mask off the bottom of the panels to create snow banks. I blended on Peacock Feathers, Blue Print Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Ink starting from the bottom of the panels and worked upwards.

To give the effect of snow on the panels, I watered down Copic White and flicked it on with a small paintbrush. I then removed the stencil, leaving the Post It Tape in place and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink from the bottom of the panels up to give a bit of depth to the snow banks.

I then die cut the main Mega Flipper die from the set from dark blue cardstock. To give a seamless and finished look to the back of the scene panels, I die cut the four scalloped rectangles from the same dark blue cardstock and adhered them to the back of the scenes panels. I used a strong double sided tape to adhere to the panels to the flipper

I used a strong double sided adhesive tape to adhere the panels to the flipper. I die cut some red and green patterned paper to finish the pull tab section of the flipper and my card is done.

I absolutely love this collaboration set and I am certain that you will as well. Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I have listed the Mama Elephant products that I used below with links for your convenience. Until we meet again, stay safe and healthy!
