Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight - Snowy Tree

It's beginning to look a lot like ... the holidays are coming! Haha! I love Christmas and can't wait to start decorating the house. It's a bit early to start that though. Until then, I will just have to keep making holiday themed cards to get me through.

Mama Elephant is highlighting Snowy Tree today and it is so beautiful! I love the sentiments and the large evergreen tree stamp and is the showstopper for this set! I used it as the focal point for my card.

I stamped the tree onto a piece of speckled cream cardstock using two shades of green Distress Oxide Inks. I then ink blended around the image to give the illusion that it is glowing and layered a piece of vellum over the top to soften the colors. I stamped one of the sentiments on the vellum overlay.

To frame the scene, I ink blended a piece of Bristol Cardstock to give a weathered wood look and die cut it using the large rectangle frame die from Pegworks CC. What scene would be complete without some adorable critters? For these, I used several of the bunnies from Tree Picking and the lone tree stamp image from the same set. I colored them using Copic Markers and paper pieced their clothing using Patterned Paper.

I will be back tomorrow with another project to share with you. Thank you for visiting and I will see you then!
