Mama Designer Designer Series - Everyday Monkeys Slim Scenescape Card
Hello again! I have a fun filled Slim Scenescape card to share featuring the oh so adorable Everyday Monkeys so let's get started.
I love the Slim Scenescape Builder CC that was introduced in May of 2021. It has such a fun interactive element that easily transitions into a pop up scene. I couldn't help but create a card combining it with the newest monkeys in the Mama Elephant family.
I began by stamping images from Everyday Monkeys and Little Monkey Agenda. I used an alcohol friendly ink, colored them with Copic Markers, and cut them out using the coordinating creative cuts.
Next, I die cut pieces to create the main part of the card base from Kraft cardstock. Before attaching them together with double sided tape, I ink blended the edges with a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to add some depth.
I then used the rounded interior die in Slim Scenescape Builder CC to create a bit of sandy ground for several of the monkeys to stand on. I blended on Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks using a blending brush and splattered the piece with some diluted Vintage Photo for texture.
For the grass pieces, I used the larger interior die from Slimscape Rainbow Add CC and the grass die from Slim Window Dress CC. After blending Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks onto them, the ground elements were complete.
I wanted the playful monkeys to have a beautiful sunset sky to enjoy, so I used Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, and Abandoned Coral, and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks. I blended them onto the smaller background layering piece from Slim Scenescape Builder CC.
Once all of the panels and images were adhered together, I stamped the sentiment on the front decorative strip and attached it to the box. A few hearts from Everyday Monkey scattered here and there finishes this design.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope that you have found inspiration here and look forward to seeing you again soon!
